Dr. Jill Schmitt
Dr. Jill Schmitt graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic where she earned both her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees. She has also completed additional education in techniques such as Lumbar Flexion Distraction (AKA Cox Technique) and the Thompson technique.
Lumbar Flexion Distraction is great for helping low back complaints including potential disc and nerve root injuries. The Thompson technique involves using gentle ‘drops’.
While participating in a clinic abroad program in northern India she saw the benefit of caring for and adjusting patients extremities. She vowed that when she opened her own clinic she would work not only with her patient’s spine but their extremities as well. Our bodies are amazing and complex and everything must work together, top to bottom, and inside out to gain optimal health.
Being a resource for people who want to reach their fullest potential of health and wellness is important to her. In addition to promoting and educating patients about chiropractic care, she believes it is equally important to educate and inform patients on complimentary wellness subjects. She will be glad to show you appropriate exercises, will help you obtain good postural and ergonomic habits, educate you on how to obtain better quality sleep, and more.
Dr Jill is passionate about working with her patients who want to learn how to avoid failed dietary habits. She believes we need to learn how to eat for a lifetime by concentrating on the quality of nutrient dense foods. If supplementation is needed she is happy to do nutritional counseling, working primarily with the Standard Process and Ortho Molecular lines of product. If you want to participate in a 21 day purification/detox that she completes annually she will welcome and help you with this too. She has completed the Wisconsin Certification for Nutritional counseling.
Your feet are your foundation and Dr Jill will include this in her review and care for your overall wellness. A complimentary foot scan will be completed as part of your exam. She works with Foot Levelers, as needed, for custom orthotics to help your bodies alignment from the feet upwards and will share with you how Foot Levelers custom orthotics are individually designed for your feet – helping achieve a balanced foundation and stabilized pelvis.
Dr Jill looks forward to meeting you and helping you obtain your individual goals and optimal health. Whether you seek symptomatic care, or long term wellness and maintenance care…she is here to help.
